Join a growing corridor of creatives!
River Park is on the rise!
When we opened in 2015, Mishawaka Avenue was struggling.
But in the past decade, life has come back to the neighborhood. Our corridor is now home to Soul Fire Yoga, Beauty Bull Vintage, Genesis Tattoo, Franky's Tacos, R-Bar, the Zen Den, and of course, longstanding neighborhood fixtures like China House and The Well Coffeehouse.
Recently, we purchased our building, and we want to help other creative businesses to launch in River Park.
In the ten years that we've been open, we've seen a pipeline develop. Someone comes to our space or one of our markets and buys a piece from a local artist. Then they take a class to learn how to do it themselves. After the class, they get a membership or rent a studio making more. And more. And now they're selling their own art—maybe in shops around town or at art markets or online.
From there, they might want to strike out and open their own space. We've seen it a few times—Gage Goods rented one of our studios before moving to his warehouse space. Our neighbor Photography by Hanah rented a space out of our basement for a time. But that last step is a doozy. Moving a business out of the basement and into a storefront is a monumental task—and one that too many businesses can't do on their own.
We want to fill that gap.
Renovations are under way for new incubator spaces for creative businesses to launch a physical location with less risk and more support. With flexible term lengths, simplified overhead, and on-site, hands-on property owners, these spaces are designed to help new business owners start their journey, because following your dreams shouldn't be a nightmare.
We are currently compiling a list of interested tenants for when they become available in the coming months.
